NEW SERIES OF ROAR FILMING NOW! The fourth series of the popular BBC Television series, ROAR is being filmed at the parks over the summer. ROAR is an exciting children's series where the under 12's come face to face with some of the world's most endangered species. ROAR features the endangered animals and their keepers at Howletts Wild Animal Park, Canterbury and its sister park Port Lympne, near Hythe in Kent. LATEST ROAR NEWS! Along with Rani Price, this series will be co-presented with former CD:UK presenter Johny Pitts! Watch this space to find out when Series 4 will be broadcast... See the stars of the show at Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks - the home of BBCs Roar! Follow the presenters as they go behind the scenes and get a unique insight into the daily dramas and dangers facing animal keepers and vets. Throughout the series, the presenters will come face to face with monkeys, tigers, gorillas, elephants, rhinos, snakes and creepy crawlies, as they meet the people whose job it is to care for and protect these exotic animals. Rani and Johny interact with the animals at very close quarters, and find out about the extraordinary lengths that the keepers go to in order to keep the animals happy and healthy. With nearly 1,000 animals to look after, there's never a dull moment! Fast, informative and fun, ROAR is designed for children and involves them in an entertaining and engaging way it also features fun facts for children to learn. Did you know...An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain? A tiger's stripes are on their skin, not just on their fur! The 22 gorillas at Port Lympne eat their way through two olympic sized swimming pools of monkey nuts a year! Find out how some of the animal stars including Tugar the tiger, his mate Ingrid and their adorable cubs, Sinda and Bira have been getting on since last year... Meet The Animals.
