• A Quality Mark has been launched to promote and celebrate the commitment of companies who offer Payroll Giving to their employees.

Payroll Giving is a flexible scheme, which allows anyone who pays UK income tax to give regularly and on a tax-free basis to a charity of their choice. Each time you are paid, a donation is deducted by your Payroll Department before it is taxed. The money you would have given to the Inland Revenue comes to us instead!

IF YOUR COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE A SCHEME THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DONATE THROUGH YOUR SALARY, IT IS VERY EASY TO SET UP

1. Your employer will need to be registered (by law) with a government approved payroll giving agency such as:
Charities Trust http://www.charitiestrust.org/ or
Charities Aid Foundation http://www.cafonline.org
These agencies handle payroll donations on behalf of employees and companies ensuring their donations go to their chosen charities.


2. Once they have done this, you will need to complete the payroll giving form as above and let your payroll department know how much you would like to donate.
