Days and days of summer fun for everyone!
*
Summer fun for all the family Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks have a programme of Great Ideas designed especially for the summer holidays for children, parents and grandparents alike!

You can, for example, learn more about tigers, lions, wolves, African hunting dogs, dhole and snow leopards with a dedicated talk on Large Carnivores on 20 August (pm) at Port Lympne. Richard Barnes, Head Carnivore Keeper and his team will be telling you more about these fascinating species, the work done at the park and international projects for the protection of these endangered animals. You will also be able to 'Face your Fear' at Port Lympne on 27 July and 17 August when children (and adults) can get up 'close and personal' with snakes, spiders, lizards and scorpions.

Also at Port Lympne are Day Safaris and the Discovery Zone, where you can enjoy close encounters with a host of 'creepy crawlies'. Port Lympne's Sunset Safaris and fabulous overnight stays at Livingstone Lodge are real treats for adults (and older children).

Childrens days out during the summer holidays

You can meet the animal stars of BBC TV's 'ROAR programme at Howletts and Port Lympne and animal presenters give talks around both parks during the summer (check out the timings and locations on arrival!) At Port Lympne, catch up with some favourite youngsters including the rapidly-growing baby Malayan tapir. Here, too, the lively tiger cubs and recently-born rusty spotted kittens (the world's smallest wild cat) are proving a popular attraction and the gorilla feeding times at 12 noon and 3pm are a 'must' for entertainment - again, check out other animal feeding times on arrival!

An unforgettable experience for all ages is to 'walk with the lemurs' at Howletts and, for a truly special day out, why not become a 'Keeper for a Day' or a 'Junior Keeper for a Day' at Howletts or Port Lympne during the summer months - phone 01303 264647 NOW for details.
